Front row: Warren La Page, Loren Walker, Dave Mayer, “Babe” Pettis, Ross Gilbert, Don Foss. Back row: Ralph Ely, Radisewitz, Bresina, Martin Radisewitz, Ralph “Gunder” Thompson, Einar Pedersen.
From Bob Thompson: The “Meet your Neighbor” series reminded me of this fun picture that I’ve saved for years. I wonder if anyone can name all of the “basketball” players without checking the answers. In the early 1950s, neighbors would often dress in goofy outfits to play a charity game. I guess we could say that some of the neighbors have “left the neighborhood”, but their memory still lives. Several of the survivors still live in Altoona and are well-known.
