Rails’ Hanson, Dahl combine for no-hitter

Rails win at Osseo 12-1

   Three days after dodging an upset with a 5-4 win over Osseo-Fairchild in extra innings, the Altoona softball team convincingly decided things in regulation in the teams’ rematch on Thursday, May 1, with the Railroaders posting a 12-1 victory.

Rails pound out 20 hits in win over Hamilton

Rails rally past Algoma

   EmmaLee Eckardt homered in the fifth inning and Brittany Gregorich hit a two-run single with two outs in the sixth to come back from a three-run deficit to defeat Algoma 7-6 at the Poynette Jamboree in Portage on Saturday, May 3.

Softball team splits with McDonell

Rails dodge upset

   The Altoona softball team rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings and added another in the eighth to avoid an upset at the hands of Osseo-Fairchild, winning 5-4 at Cinder City Park on Monday, April 28.
