The Altoona volleyball team’s season ended in the regional finals last week, as the Railroaders defeated Tomahawk 3-0 in the semifinals on Friday, October 23, but lost to Medford 3-2 at Mosinee the following day.

The Altoona volleyball team got its postseason off to a fast start, scoring the first 12 points of the opening game to take control in a 25-6, 25-9, 25-23 rout of Nekoosa on Tuesday, October 21.

The Altoona volleyball team had a successful week, winning all five of its matches at the Eau Claire North Select Tournament on Saturday, September 27, and followed that performance with a key conference win at Stanley-Boyd on Tuesday, September 30.

The Altoona volleyball team went 5-3 in match play over a five-day stretch from Thursday, September 11 to Tuesday, September 16, defeating Chippewa Falls McDonell and going 4-2 at the Beaver Dam Invitational before losing at Eau Claire Regis.

Following a good performance at last week’s Greenwood Quad, the Altoona High School volleyball team opened the Western Cloverbelt Conference season with a 3-0 victory over Osseo-Fairchild on Thursday, August 28.
